Nike SB International Women’s Day #WeSkateToo Concept
Please note: This project is a concept and is not affiliated with Nike, Nike SB or any of the athletes. All imagery used is the property of its owner, credited within.
In light of #InternationalWomensDay, I have created a project for Nike, focusing on their SB division.
Skateboarding is a sport which is heavily dominated by male athletes, but there are plenty of female skateboarders in the world.
To highlight these incredible women, I started by developing a hashtag.

I then decided that the 4 current female Nike SB team members would be the figureheads for the campaign.
Professional portrait photographs would be taken of the athletes prior to the event.
These photographs would then be posted on Nike SB social media channels on #InternationalWomensDay, with a caption detailing what gender equality means to them.

Imagery
Keeping in line with Nike SB’s current branding and style, I then selected some images of the athletes with Nike SB branding applied.
These images are designed to be used on social media, in print magazines and also on the Nike SB website.
Please note: I was only able to find photographs of Sarah Meurle and Nicole Hause that fit with the style.

Products
The #WeSkateToo campaign would launch alongside an exclusive line of Nike SB clothing, which would be available in both women’s and men’s sizing.

On #InternationalWomensDay, Nike would run a poll on the SNKR’s app to vote for one classic Nike SB shoe to be released in women’s sizing.
The shoe chosen in the poll would then be released on #InternationalWomensDay 2022.
This is similar to Nike’s recent Air Max Day poll. In that poll, the Atmos Elephant Air Max 1 was voted for and subsequently re-released the following year.
